The boat's best features The performance of this boat is exceptional. In steep and short waves the boat handles them very well. The living space on the boat for a 33 footer is remarkable. Great boat for entertaining either for an evening or weekend guests. Shoal draft is a plus for anchoring in bays yet is not a disadvantage for upwind performance. Walk through transom is so practical with kids, dogs and dinghies!
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. The lack of a manual bilge pump has always been a concern and have never been able to determine a good permanent installation. Opted for a much larger electric bilge pump. Raw water intake lacked a screen so weed infiltration has always been a problem. OEM sails were of inferior quality. The news ones from Doyle make a substantial difference in the boats performance.
Sailing characterisitcs Great in light air and a secure feeling boat when the weather gets very nasty.
Motoring characterisitcs 1992 was the 1st year of the larger Yanmar engine. It supplies us with all of the power we need to punch through the weather. OEM 2 blade prop gives us super control in reverse and forward.
Liveability For weekend and extended weeks on board the boat has incredile storage capacity and the high ceilings and numerous hatches and skylights make even the gloomiest of days a pleasure to be on board.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Without reproach. very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Has always given me the feeling that they are foremost there to assist with problems and not "sell" solutions. A pleasure to deal with them.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any N/A
Other comments An excellent boat that has retained its "as built" appearance inside and out. In my humble opinion the boat was very well designed and built. Astounding volume for her size. Great value.
