If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? My wife and I sail in the Great South Bay, Long Island, New York. We have owned the boat for one year and just love it! It’s great for entertaining and weekend over-nighters. The bay is quite shallow in some spots so the 4’ draft can be a challenge in navigation. I would like to do try local coastal sailing (Block Island, Connecticut, Martha’s Vineyard…) but the misses is very content in the bay. Most of the time we sail with the jib only, which is fast enough for us (3-5 kts.). If the wind is light we will hoist the main. The 18 hp Yanmar is a great engine and it just loves to run. I do my own maintenance and it’s very easy to keep up. Last season we used 5 gallons of fuel and went out over 60 times. GOT TO LOVE IT! Each time we get to use the boat we say to each other how much we love it. Can’t think of any real problems that we have had to deal with (a leaky window, and a few fuel leaks on the engine). I would highly recommend it and would definitely buy it if I had to do it again.
