Review of the Hunter 240 by Donald Kovacs

If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? 1. purchased a sailboat with main furling 2. requested a watertight socket to connect my alternator leads to the batteries 3. found a boat with cockpit controls for the outboad (gas, shift) 4. purchased a boat with a rudder that doesn't float.  
Gear that's been added 1. battery charger 2. shore power 3. bulkhead mounted (compass, inclinometer, 2 x voltmeters [alternator output, batteries status], temp/barometer, wind speed/direction, depth finder) 4. dingy 5. teak sole for cockpit and cabin 6. screen door 7. fans 8. throw ring 9. teak magazines racks, loovered wooden doors across battery area- separating it from sleeping area 10. spreader boots 11. power winch for trailer 12. Vang brake  
Structural or complex improvements  
The boat's best features 1. cheap 2. strong ( I was smacked up againsta barge in heavy winds (about 15 times) - engine quit, and sails were down,an only scratched the hull and bent a rear rail. 3. trailerable 4. easy clean
