H260 Bow Roller modification

posted 10-07-2008 by Jim Seamans

See A Different Roller??

I didnt like the way the bow eye was hitting the bow roller, so why not get ride of it. I kept the side bumpers, not sure why.

You can see how this creates a open box for the bow eye to pull into. There is also no strain on the bolt that went all the way across with the hook riding on it. The whole affair moves with the rocking of the boat and these do not mar the gelcoat. Whole thing cost about $45, the two polymer bow stops cost $9 apiece at BoatUS and galvanized steel was about $25 at a local RV dealer.
