The boat's best features Performance, liveability, reliability.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. I would elliminate the shower stall in the main cabin and just make it a large head. I would like a larger garbage can like the one on the 380.
Sailing characterisitcs We just completed our maiden voyage to Block Island, RI. We had 19 knots of wind and one-three foot seas. The boat sailed beyond our expectations and was very comfortable and easy to handle.
Motoring characterisitcs I'm very pleased with the overall performance of the boat. We have a floating dock and would like to board the boat via the nice open transom. From what I have seen so far, the combination of the MAX-Prop, large rudder and a very responsive Yanmar, should make this very simple. Can't give specific performance yet, but I believe we will be motor-sailing between 7-8 knots.
Liveability We hope to do some extended cruising and the 410's liveability was the primary reason for buying this boat.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) I would give Hunter very high marks on their product and service. They are very responsive and easy to deal with.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any This is the third boat we have purchased from Sailing Specialties, in Mystic, CT. I can't say enough about Jeff Marshall and his crew. They are very supportive and loyal to their customers. Our past service and warranty needs, also tells me that they have an excellent working relationship with Hunter. From a consumer perspective, this is a win-win relationship.
Other comments No....But if something comes up, I will post it.
