Review of the Hunter Vision-32 by Howard

Owner bought the boat in 1998  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? So far, absolutely. We love this boat..came up from a 26X which was great to learn on, but we wanted more room as we stay on the boat most every weekend. We were looking to buy a new Beneteau 28 but couldn't find one to look at.. and only got promises on literature, never actually received any. Worked out well though as we then began looking for a used boat. Got a bigger boat for alot less money. We feel very fortunate, original owner took great care of her.  
Gear that's been added nope, but the previous owner and the original dealer loaded it. Super cold machine in ice box, King Air A/C, Autohelm 4000, electric winch, lots 'o goodies that make sailing and living aboard easy.  
Structural or complex improvements nope  
The boat's best features STAYLESS.. vastly reduced maintenance, no wire worries, no shrouds and stays in the way.  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. so far, so good... no problems except that smell.  
Sailing characterisitcs We've read where others said this boat was slow in light winds. We hold our own just fine.. smoked a Catalina 28 last weekend in 5-8 knots steady breezes.. really pulled ahead when we unfurled the jib, which was surprising since some say they never use the small jib.  
Motoring characterisitcs okay... but we need a fuel gauge. Oil pressure and temp wouldn't hurt either.  
Liveability absolutely wonderful. Plenty of room for the two of us and the dog. Pretty good with four folks too. Galley area works fine for cooking and shower area is very roomy.
