Review of the Hunter Vision-32 by Russ Jones

Year built 1989
Location of boat Baltimore, MD
The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength less than 10 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard?
Owner bought the boat in 1995
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes! I was looking for something in the 28 foot range. Wife saw this one and just wanted to take a look. The rest is history!
Gear that's been added BBQ grill, upgraded wind speed and knot meter, c-p table. Previous owner had added a lot: dodger, bimini, electric halyard winch, autohelm, c-p loran (2 stations), c-p VHF, Air Cond, and more.
Structural or complex improvements No
The boat's best features Viewing and light source in cabin, unstayed mast, ease of sailing (this was a great first boat), room on deck
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Water heater element keeps blowing and is very difficult to replace because of its positioning; no fuel gauge.
Sailing characterisitcs
Motoring characterisitcs
Liveability Great! Spent 10 days on the bay and didn't want it to end!
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
