Structural or complex improvements No
The boat's best features Comforable Accomodation,Shallow Draft,Sails Pretty Well.Good surface finish on the gel coat.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Main sheet frays.Sail cover too difficult to fit.Sail flaking system needs a third nylon wire through the sail.Furling gear is stiff.
Sailing characterisitcs The boat sails well and often surprises with its speed. The fitting of a Gori folding prop.helps a lot.
Motoring characterisitcs The engine is much too noisy. Most of the noise is transmitted down the prop.shaft and through the hull.A flexible coupling would halve the noise.More careful soundproofing is needed.Apart from the noise the boat goes well under power the engine has been trouble free and is very economical
Liveability Very good.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Opal marine in England have been excellent people to deal with.
