Review of the Hunter 40.5 by Ken Gregory

If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes great boat  
Gear that's been added Autohelm knot depth wind st 50 radar nav center 100, halyard elec winch simpson lawance anchor windlass dodger with back drop two 4d batt. soon to be four emeter to keep tract of batts. queen size inner spring mattress two of the next size racors hooked valved indpendetly am going to take out aft water tank and replace with fuel tank of same size  
Structural or complex improvements removed drawer unit under vberth and replaced with bi fold doors for bulk storage  
The boat's best features big and roomy and fast  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. frezer does not get as cold as it needs to also boarding ladder gets in the way at the dock  
Sailing characterisitcs stable fast and seems to point pretty well  
Motoring characterisitcs motors all day at 8 knots on about a gallon of fuel per hour  
Liveability great wiht lots of room below nnd on deck
