The boat's best features The boat is very comfortable for two couples. Plenty of room both inside and out.The in mast furling makes sail handling a breeze. I can easily handle the sails solo. I don't really see any significant decrease in performance.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. I haven't had any problems that were not immediately corrected by my dealer. I can't say enough wonderful things about Norton's Yacht Sales in Deltaville, VA.
Sailing characterisitcs The boat is an absolute dream to sail. I wanted to wait to write my review until I had some sailing time under my belt on the boat. Well, we spent 4 days onboard over Memorial Day Weekend. We covered approximately 200 nm. We did a combination of sailing, motor sailing and motoring. My only comment is to remember to reef early. We easily reached speeds of 6.5 to 7.5 knots according to GPS all weekend.
Motoring characterisitcs See above.
Liveability Wonderful. I've never had good luck with freezer's in boats but I have to say this one works great. I but two bags of ice in the freezer on Friday night and I brought home 1.5 bags of ice on Tuesday. The .5 bag of ice was used to make Pina Colada's one afternoon at the dock. Also, all the sleeping accomodations worked out extremely well. If I had my way we would sell the house and move aboard now.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) I haven't had the opportunity.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Great experience! I really like dealing with Norton's Yacht Sales. This is the third boat we've bought from Carolyn. She is wonderful to deal with, very upfront and no surprises. I know some of the other dealers (different brands) we talked to seemed to never be able to give you a price that didn't change everytime you talked to them.
