Review of the Hunter 37-cutter by Robert Forrester

If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes, without question. Our first Hunter was a 30 that we loved. The 37 Cutter was an easy choice after looking at almost a hundred cruising boats. An ideal coastal cruiser, able to take you and your family/friends anywhere in safety and comfort.  
Gear that's been added Loran, air/heat pump, bimini  
Structural or complex improvements The unused dagger board trunk well in the keelwas cleaned out, filled with foam and epoxy w/micro bubbles and faired on the bottom.Contemplated screwing on a stainless cover but decited that it wasn't necessary with the sand and mud bottoms of the area.  
The boat's best features Roomy interior layout with lots of privacy. Strength of construction.Confidence in the boat.  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. The aluminum holding tank (mounted under the shower seat)was rotted out. I usedan abrasive cutting wheel mounted on an electric drill to cut the tank into removable chunks.Access to the tank is gained from under the starboard side of the V-berth. A rubber bladder holding tank replaced the original very neatly.The rubber bladder is protected from sharp fiberglass edges of the underside of the shower by a cra
