Location of boat norwalk Ct. , us
The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 16-22 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard?
Owner bought the boat in 1997
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? yes, without question.
Gear that's been added furuno GPS, other electronics, new sails
Structural or complex improvements due to previous owner neglect, we epoxy-injected decks and coach roof, re-beded all fittings and hand rails. repainted with 2-part paint. we also replaced the prop shaft and realigned the strut. We altered the main sheeting system to end-boom sheeting and the staysail sheet to the coach-roof winch. Used a triple block tackle on the main sheet system.
The boat's best features exceptionally good layout below for living aboard, also handles easily and is good in heavy weather.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. the plastic ports leak, but are livable.
Sailing characterisitcs easy to handle short handed and very safe in heavy weather. Sluggish in heavy weather, but that can be attributed to the cutter rig.
Motoring characterisitcs substantial prop walk to port in reverse, this can pose a problem leaving the dock.
Liveability very comfortable for two people and our cat,
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
