How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots

Owner bought the boat in 1994
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes - We have thoroughly enjoyed owning this boat
Gear that's been added Datamarine Datalink, GPS, autopilot, refrigeration, cockpit table
Structural or complex improvements no
The boat's best features Very comfortable for 2 people for weekends
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Small area of deck delamination on cabin top.
Sailing characterisitcs This boat is fast, handles well, points well, and is forgiving. Good boat for the novice or experiences sailor.
Motoring characterisitcs The 2QM15 is noisy but fuel efficient and reliable. However, this boat is underpowered in heavy winds or seas, and pulls hard to port, with a three bladed prop, in reverse.
Liveability This boat is comfortable and has a good design and storage for its time period. Although the longest we are on the boat is 1-2 weeks, we never feel cramped. The original owner lived aboard for ten years before moving up.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) We could not have asked for more attention or courtesy when touring the Hunter factory in Alachua. We have become even more impressed after meeting several of their representatives at the Chesapeake Rendezvous this year.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Even though we have yet to purchase a boat from Norton's Yacht Sales (our "hometown dealer"), we have come to know Ken and Carolyn well over the past five years and would highly recommend them to anyone whether you are looking for a new Hunter or a used boat.
