Review of the Hunter 336 by Bob Gromling

Year built 1997
Location of boat Port Orchard WA
The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Multi-week coastal cruising
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard?
Owner bought the boat in 1997
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes, or maybe try for a larger one, I really like the 40 footer
Gear that's been added Yes, anchor windless, 100 amp alt. dodger, full canvas, larger batteries, outboard davit, auto pilot, artic heater, fridg
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features The large cockpit, the comfortable belowdecks, plenty of water storage
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Engine vibration since new, coupling came apart
Sailing characterisitcs Sails very nicely
Motoring characterisitcs Motors very well, just has a vibration
Liveability
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Very good verbal service, some help with problems on other Hunter boat
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any One of the better dealers I have delt with
