Owner bought the boat in 2018
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes, without a doubt.
Gear that's been added An inverter. Cockpit cushions. custom companionway doors and LED lights.
Structural or complex improvements None.
The boat's best features Inmast furling is a snap. Great cockpit room, backs easy enough and makes for a fine cruising boat for us. The a/c with shorepower is fantastic on those hot and humid Georgia summers.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Trouble with the RPM gauge.
Sailing characterisitcs Had her in 25-30 knot winds with no problem. Knotmeter read 6.8. Points well but sucks going downwind.
Motoring characterisitcs Sips fuel. No currents where we sail.
Liveability Works great for the 2 of us and Lady the boat dog. More room and better features than our daughters apartment in Paris! We are weekend cruisers.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
Other comments We sold our old 1967 Cal 30 which we loved. The modern features on this boat makes it difficult to compare and contrast faIrly so I wont even try. Suffice it to say we are extremely happy with our Hunter.
