The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Day sailing
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? Yes
Owner bought the boat in 2012
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? A definite yes.
Gear that's been added New Main sail, new 135% Jib, New Cruisair A/C unit, Stern perch seats.
Structural or complex improvements N/A
The boat's best features Easy to single hand. responsive and easy to get into shallow waters and bays.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Battery compartment (stbd lazerette) hard to access.
Sailing characterisitcs Smooth sailing with some strong winds (15-20kts). Double reef in these conditions.
Motoring characterisitcs Typical 2400rpm @ 5kts. Very good at maneuvering into / out of slip.
Liveability A little cramped but I really enjoy the lifestyle. The V-berth is actually very comfortable along with a nice cabin arrangement (setee / tv / music system). I installed a microwave which I secure on the bathroom seat. Dont really use the bathroom very ofetn as the marina bathrooms are very close.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
Other comments A very pleasant first boat. It has given me (and still does) the utmost joy sailing her. I plan to take her to Florida this year coastal cruising.
