Year built 1985
Location of boat charlotte harbor, fl
The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard?
Owner bought the boat in 1990
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? very happy with the boat, but if had to do over again, would have bought a hunter 34
Gear that's been added 135% genoa, fully battened main, dutchman system, bimini and dodger, 9'6" rollup dinghy, 8 hp ob, self-tailing halyard winches ...prior owner upgraded self-furling and traveler with harken gear, loran, epirb, spinnaker gear, cruising chute, autohelm 4000 autopilot
Structural or complex improvements reverse cycle heat and ac, varnished interior
The boat's best features excellent pointing for shoal draft boat, good light airs capability, interior room, handles well under power
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. black moustache on stern from exhaust, caused by stern wave, leaking battery on stuffing box caused boat to take on water
Sailing characterisitcs excellent pointing, very fast compared to other crusing boats of similiar size, love b
Motoring characterisitcs handles very well under power
Liveability excellent for 31 foot boat, water heater and pressure water system works fine, origo non-pressurized alcohol stove is satisfactory for week-end use
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) ordered new striping tape, sales rep was courteous, shipped tape immediately
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any sailors wharf, st. petersburg, fl.....was pleased; would recommend
