The boat's best features sail plan, roller furling main
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. battery charger failednumerous small leaks in anchor wellengine vibrationhull vibration between 2.5 and 3.5 knots
Sailing characterisitcs boat overall sails well in most wind conditions. roller furling main and jib allow excellent multi-point reefing for heavy (above 15 knot) winds. The only improvement would be to add a spinnaker for light air (less than 5 knot) runsI would rate the boat's sailing ability as followsclose hauled - excellentclose reach - excellentbeam reach - excellentbroad reach - goodrun - fair
Motoring characterisitcs handles very well in restricted waters at slow speeds. 18hp Yanmar has excellent fuel efficiency
Liveability excellent for weekend cruisingextended cruising is questionablewell designed cabin layoutlarge and comfortable cockpit excellent interior/exterior lighting of main salonaft cabin needs better ventilation and lightingnarrow passageway to aft cabinexcellent galleyadequate headfresh water system needs shore hookup
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) have dealt only with dealer so far but hull vibration may prove to be beyond dealers ability to solve
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any bought from Kentucky Lake Sails, dealer has provided excellent after delivery support and has addressed any questions or problems very professionally
