The boat's best features Great cockpit size and layout for a 31'. Very easy to sail and FAST! for a 31'. Have past Catalina 31'
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Had some minor problems with a cracked Hot Water Heater, short reefing lines, and minor missing hardware during commisioning. This has been corrected by Hunter and the selling Dealer.
Sailing characterisitcs Sails well in light wind and a good blow(30 Knts)get ready to reef the "big Main " at about 15-16 knts. Even with the sweptback spreaders it sails well down wind.
Motoring characterisitcs Motors well, good power and controls. A little too much vibration above 3000 RPMs.
Liveability Great room in both the cabin
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Wrote and E-mail letter about missing parts for the Ice Box lid and they quickly sent the parts to correct the problem.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Dealer was very helpful and did a great job commisioning the boat and following up with Hunter and correcting minor problems discovered during commisioning
