Review of the Hunter 31_83-87 by dearl bailie

Year built 1984
Location of boat sandusky ohio
The boat is sailed on The Great Lakes
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength
Average size of crew 5-6
Liveaboard?
Owner bought the boat in 1986
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes, I would, this boat is the best boat for a family of 5, we have sailed the great lakes from one end to the other and had alot of room.It is just the right size for my girls to handle by themselfs and my one daughther just love to put the rail in the water...
Gear that's been added gps,radios,more ancors,different sails,gas grill,and much more little things
Structural or complex improvements no
The boat's best features how it handles and how it keeps it apperance with little or no work(it seems like fun).
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. I really can't think of anything, just normal things thur the years.
Sailing characterisitcs
Motoring characterisitcs This boat could have been built with a bigger engine, but again who wants to get somewhere fast using their engine.I have had very little trouble with this engine, it has never failed me when I needed it the most...
Liveability This is what I like about this boat, just the right size for a family of five, the girls have their own space and still small enought to be easyly sailable my any of my girls...
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) ????
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any ?????
