Year built 1997
Location of boat St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada
The boat is sailed on The Great Lakes
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2005
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? For sure. We are new at sailing and this was our first sail boat.
Gear that's been added The previous owner added a variable j prop, GPS, electric winch, dodger and bimini. We replaced the GPS with a chart plotter and added three roll away screens for the larger hatches.
Structural or complex improvements Not yet
The boat's best features We are new to sailing and do not have too much to compare with. Our sailing friends have admired our Hunter and commented on the cockpit space, interior space and design and her ease of sailing.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. We are fortunate to have an electric winch. The main is heavy and we have some difficulty bringing it down.

The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any This boat was previously owned and was purchased through Angus Yachts in Port Credit. Angus Yachts have been extremely fair to us and provided very good service. They have maintained contact with us. We will certainly buy from them again.
