Review of the Hunter 19_93-96 by Ed Mashburn

Year built 1996
Location of boat Florida
The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard?
Owner bought the boat in 1996
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? yes!!!!!
Gear that's been added Bimini, camper pop top
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features Good interior space, super easu to trailer and load/unload. Sails well.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. rudder can contact outboard prop if pulled hard to port.
Sailing characterisitcs sails well in strong wind with jib down. I can't imagine going out in wind strong enough to reef the main. I haven't noticed much lee-way.
Motoring characterisitcs I try not to motor,
Liveability Really great for three folks. Good planning in laying out the interior stuff
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Very positive. The 800 number is a convenience.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Pretty solid. Had to transfer boat from a dealer in FLA to one in ARK.
