Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Holding tank too small, water tank too small. The Yanmar diesel gave many problems to start with, mainly fuel leakage from fuel pump and filter. The problem was corrected by myself after the yard had tried 4 times. The Yanmar diesel is also VERY noisy. The yard that commissioned the boat forgot to put zincs on, which caused me to replace the propellor after 1 year.
Sailing characterisitcs Points up extremely well, and is very fast on a beam to short reach. However in more than a 12knot wind, the first reef must be put in. In anything over 20knots, the boat becomes nearly unmanageable with 2 reefs. The only recourse is to sail with the jib only.
Motoring characterisitcs With the folding prop 14X14, the boat will cruise at 6.2knots at 2800 rpm. Going in reverse with this prop is very positive, and you don't need excessive RPM's.
Liveability The rear berth has a lot of storage space, which we have added storage under the shelf running from the head/shower bulkhead to the rear bulkhead in front of the holding
