Review of the Hunter 41 by Renee

Year built 2004
Location of boat Annapolis, MD
The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Multi-week coastal cruising
Normal wind strength 16-22 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2005
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Absolutley, she's fun to sail and very comfortable. The Hunter 41 has a great furling main sail and easy access to lines and winches for ease of sail trimming and reefing.
Gear that's been added We love the radar, chartplotter, and autopilot for extended passages.
Structural or complex improvements None needed.
The boat's best features Ease of sailing, plenty of storage space, very comfortable for crew and guests.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. We have sailed her often and have not had any major problems or need for repairs.
Sailing characterisitcs Points up very easily, easily splits sails for a run, holds a course and is very responsive.
Motoring characterisitcs Quiet engine, excellent battery charging and water heating.
Liveability Excellent use of space, nothing is wasted. Very comfortable living quarters including 2 heads with showers, queen sizede mattress in owner cabiin, pullman berth in guest cabin, large salon with extensive seating, great entertainment systems, well laid out galley.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Fantastic!
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Great!
Other comments We love it!
