Review of the Hunter Vision-32 by julian Hallmark

Year built 1989
Location of boat santa barbara california
The boat is sailed on Open ocean
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2006
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Definitely.
Gear that's been added Auto Helm 4000, vacu-flush toilet
Structural or complex improvements no
The boat's best features I like the free standing mast. Tons of room down below, and being able to see in front as you go. Good handling in heavy weather
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. The ground tackle, anchor roller are woefully inadequate. It means having to find someone to do custom work, to the tune of nearly $3000. Also the holding tank is too small.
Sailing characterisitcs A little slow in light air, not too bad.
Motoring characterisitcs Nice and strong. Great handling in tight marina spaces.
Liveability Like having a condo at sea! Just great, love all the room.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
