The boat's best features It has a lot of room for the length. Looked at several boats of 36 -38' at boat shows and found this one to have the largest cockpit and most storage.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Yanmar 30GM is overheating. Overheated on sea trial and recently did it again while runnint at 3,000 rpm. Arch bolts didn't mate very well. Getting holes and voids in some of the gel coat. Otherwise, we love the boat.
Sailing characterisitcs It sails well to wind but is a little difficult to sail downwind without a whisker pole. Overall it sails very well.
Motoring characterisitcs See above.
Liveability Plenty of room for the two of us. Might be able to handle 4 on relatively short trip (week).
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) No dealings direct with Hunter yet.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Boat dealer has tried to help but generally lack the expertise to deal with the problems.
