Gear that's been added Depth SounderGarmin 45BBQNew VHFWind ScoopFishing Pole!
Structural or complex improvements I removed some of the toe rail on thebow and added an anchor roller. Reallyhelps single handed deployments andrecoveries.
The boat's best features Ease of single handed sailing, speed, dependable Yanmar diesel.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. The engine bilge does not drain into themain bilge. Counter in head delaminated.
Sailing characterisitcs It is a marvelous sailor! A little light,so it overpowers easily. But, she willdrive very well with a reefed or slightly luffing main and a well trimmed jib.Handles ocean swells fine (I've only had her in seas to six feet). Heaves tovery comfortably in seas. Pretty squirlyriding down a swell with a following wind.I've PHRF raced her locally with great success.
Motoring characterisitcs Very maneuverable in tight marinas.Backs easily. Tender in high winds andseas.
Liveability I wouldn't want to live on her full time.Would be okay for a couple for a few weeks, though.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) I have only had a few opportunities to deal directly with Hunter. Eachtime they were extremely helpful!Techies answered all my questions and even FAX'd me drawings and data!
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
