Review of the Hunter 386 by Wayne

Owner bought the boat in 2003  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes. Generally it has been a good boat.  
Gear that's been added Dodger & Full Bimini  
Structural or complex improvements Had some water leaks that are now corrected.  
The boat's best features Lots of boat for the money. Good factory backup. Easy to sail. Love the in mast furling  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Fuel guage has never worked. Had some problems with bottom paint staying on. I believe that has been corrected.  
Sailing characterisitcs You give up a little performance with the inmast furling but for this cruiser it is worth it.  
Motoring characterisitcs Good. Excellent backing characteristics.  
Liveability Plenty of room and great liveability.  
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Very good. Could not ask for more cooperation.

Other comments Great company.
