Review of the Hunter 33.5 by Larry Collins

Year built 1992
Location of boat Kentucky Lake
The boat is sailed on Lakes
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 16-22 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2004
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? I have just bought the boat, but have owned several smaller sailboats. It seems to have everything that both my wife and myself enjoy.
Gear that's been added I haven't added anything yet ,but will probably add cockpit cushions, and stern rail seats.
Structural or complex improvements none
The boat's best features Since we just bought the boat the things that we see that we enjoy is the seperation of the head/shower and vanity. Also lots of storage, and natural light.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. none
Sailing characterisitcs We bought the boat still on the hard, and haven't sailed it yet. I believe once we do we will enjoy it that much more.
Motoring characterisitcs Not yet determined
Liveability Haven't had the chance to live aboard, but plan on crusing in a few years.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any We bought the boat from Kentucky Lake Sales, located at Lighthouse Landing in Grand Rivers Kentucky. We have bought several boats from them due to 2'idus. They are very helpful and I believe fair in dealing.
Other comments Hunter makes good strong sailboats at an an affordable price. If it wasn't a fact I would be owning a much smaller boat.
