Structural or complex improvements Added a Centerboard Support on the Trailer.
The boat's best features EZ Trailering/Setup & Takedown. Lots of room. Fun boat for someone to learn (me) and seems like a pro would enjoy it too. Lively.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Hunter replaced my original hull. Had a centerboard trunk seam leak...water flowed into the hull while sailing. Drained it all before winter (I thought) but suspect foam core remained saturated. Aft starboard quarter of hull split from freezing. Hunter stands behind the product!
Sailing characterisitcs Fun
Motoring characterisitcs A 2.5 really scoots the boat!
Liveability NA
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) 9
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any 9
Other comments Wish the trailer was better matched to the boat. Had to move the axle FAR forward to acheive proper tongue weight. Also winch placement causes winch rope to drag trailer bow yoke up. Had to make a plywood platform to elevate the winch for proper placement. Also yoke below Bow Eye is a bad idea if you slam on the brakes. Purchased a ratchet tie strap to secure bow to trailer tongue. Also see 'Improvements' above.
