Review of the Hunter 170 by Greg Echtman

The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water

Normal wind strength less than 10 knots  
Average size of crew 2-4  
Liveaboard? No  
Owner bought the boat in 2004  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? YES, From the initial inquiry about the boat through the delivery, the dealer Sound Boatworks provided us with excellent customer servce.  
Gear that's been added Compass and seat cushions (a must)  
Structural or complex improvements no  
The boat's best features being our first sailboat, just the total ease of use, our first time rigging the boat took us on 25 min.  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. nothing yet  
Sailing characterisitcs I find it to be very stable, I have read some poeple feel it is a bit sensitive, however a have nothing to compare it to.  
Motoring characterisitcs none yet  
Liveability probably not going to happen on this boat  
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)  
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Outstanding the guys at Sound Boatworks were excellent  
Other comments BUY ONE
