Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 1986
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Definitely - lot of boat for the money. Previous owner was not good at maintainence but I did some major upgrades and work on both exterior and interior.
Gear that's been added rebuilt the ice box - held frozen steaks for 3 weeks in the bahamas in July and had to thaw them to eat the last night of a 3 week cruise! Also added a pro-furl to help handle the big foresail - had small kids in the crew and they wern't ready for foredeck duty yet.
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. portlight were junk, no hatch (I added one) in the head for ventilation.

Other comments I had the "serial number 000" hull. The Hunter factory was not even aware that the mold plug was fitted out and sold as a whole boat as an empty racer. The interior was added later - not stock. First owner raced it in the 1980 bermuda race and has a picture of the boat surfing down 30+ foot wave under full spinaker! He added green water drains to the cockpit since the littel rain drains wouldn't handle getting pooped by a solid wave! Sold the boat in 1998 preparing to move to CA - still miss that boat. We used it 35-40 weekends a year when the kids were little. Definately got our money's worth!!
