Review of the Hunter 260 by Sam Morgan

Year built 2000
Location of boat Las Vegas, Nevada
The boat is sailed on Lakes
How the boat is used Day sailing
Normal wind strength less than 10 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2002
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? I would either buy this boat or another one just like it. I bought used and I had a choice of one in Oklahoma and one in Utah.
Gear that's been added No
Structural or complex improvements No
The boat's best features Well made, easy to sail, and comfortable,
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. I have a hard time raising the mast.
Sailing characterisitcs The boat seems to be manageable for one person to launch, sail, and recover on the trailer.
Motoring characterisitcs I motor into and out of the marina to get to the ramp as it is congested.
Liveability I have not been out overnight but I have used it as a camper when traveling across country.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Great! I damaged some parts raising the mast when I first got the boat. The Hunter people were very helpful in getting me the replacement parts.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
Other comments I really like the boat. For me, it works great.
