The boat's best features Comfortable Little exterior maintenance (wood) Very comfortable inside Easy to sail Fun to cruise
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Holding tank needed charcoal filter to avoid septic smells in cockpit with flushing macerator pump doesn't handle cherry pits Diesel engine cut out at first, related to fuel starvation Electrical system voltage drop related to several loose conections Three bolts fell out of prop shaft
Sailing characterisitcs The boat likes heavy air She is dry Handles well in rough sea state Sailing is simple Poor performance in light airs Down wind performance not too great
Motoring characterisitcs Very thrifty on fuel Reasonable cruising under motor power Engine maintenance fairly easy
