Owner bought the boat in 2002
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? I sure would, the boat is a great form of family entertainment because it handles so well and sails great. In additonal to its ease of use, it also has the comforts of home for a nice weekend trip. Still havn't planned a trip to Pensacola but I intend to do so without any aprehension. I also have a cruising spinaker that adds to the excitment. Its less than 4 feet of draft makes it a great boat for the New Orleans area due to many areas of skinny water. A well built boat with only some minor wood problems.

The boat's best features
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Some of the wood panels used in the cabin have delaminated and needed to be replaced. Specifically, the v-berth floor, the top panel over the fresh water tank, the floor at the bottom of the ladder. All pretty easy to do but I think all of these items were premature considering the good condition of the boat when I purchased it.
Sailing characterisitcs Sails well with a balanced helm, no strong tendency to round up in a puff. 6.5-7 knots in a 10 knot breeze, about the same in 15 knots with a little more heel, pretty fun stuff. It can also take a pretty big wave without pounding too hard.
Motoring characterisitcs With the Yanmar 2GM-20, I am amazed at how little fuel I have used in 30 hours of operation.
