If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? I am very happy to have my hunter 23. I have been sailing most of my life, and "Stars
Gear that's been added Some of the changes have been to strip everything from the water line down to bare glass or with the keel to the bare keel. Then started over. I have put a new complete set of "WATERS SAILS" on the boat. WOW! now I have performance.
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features The best feature is, with the centerboard up, I only need 23" of water. with the board down 4'11".
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Had to make some changes on how the hold the center board in place. Many other changes to long for this section.
Sailing characterisitcs Some of the Hunter 23s have 36" spreaders. I have 25" spreaders. So I can point higher. Many other points for this space.
Motoring characterisitcs
Liveability
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) VERY GOOD!
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
Other comments I would like to see the Hunter 23 with the centerboard, go back into production. With some changes.
