Review of the Hunter 40 by Jerry Holloway

Liveaboard? No  
Owner bought the boat in 2002  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? yes  
Gear that's been added vhf hand held, nico solar day/night vent.  
Structural or complex improvements no  
The boat's best features space,comfort and sailing ability  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. winches  
Sailing characterisitcs virtually will sail itself at 45 degrees to the wind 10-20 knots genny and main.  
Motoring characterisitcs no problems, slow to stop  
Liveability above average  
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) excellent  
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any yes, not very good. i learned several things not to do the next time.  
Other comments Although we have had Windswept only a short time it has been very enjoyable. The hunterowners.com site is a real plus.
