Year built 2002
Location of boat Indianapolis Indiana U.S.A.
The boat is sailed on Lakes
How the boat is used Day sailing

Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2002
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes, I would buy this boat again. Yuo get a lot of boat for the money, It is very user friendly to sail and is very safe for our kids. This is our first boat so I can't compair it to others but I wouuld have no problem buying this boat or recommending it to anyone.
Gear that's been added yes, I added a FM/cd player with Boose speakers, depth- knot unit, VHF radio, a 2nd battery, a/c power unit and a compass.
Structural or complex improvements Not yet but I will be adding a air conditioning unit.
The boat's best features I is set up great for a family. I have 3 children and we have lots of room. I also like how high the boom is, it makes it more relaxing when your sailing. We have found this boat very easy to sail, it is very forgiving when we make mistakes. The mast raising system is great. And goes in and out of the water with ease. The boat looks great!!!
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. We have only had trouble with one cabnet door latch and thats it. I think there should be a drain valve on the water tank to empty the tank when you want.
Sailing characterisitcs The boat is real smooth with no suprises. It isn not the fastest boat but it's not a race boat. We have found it to be very stable and easy to get the hang of.
Motoring characterisitcs We sail on smaller lakes most all of the time so we only have a 5hp Honda but if does great. The boat will drift a lot when docking in the wend but I think they all do. If I were on larger water I would go with a 10hp. The over all motoring characteristcs of the boat are good. We have the steiring wheel on ours and it's the only wat to go.
Liveability We have spent the night a couple on times and hade a good time. We have 5 in our family and had enough room to move around and look forward to the next time. this is a great family boat.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Never have.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any We bought our boat from Sail boats Inc. of Indiana. They are great people to deal with and stock anything you could ever want for your sail boat.
Other comments If you think you might like sailing, just go for it. I will change your life forever. Hunter hakes a great boat and I will have mine for a long time. And if I ever get rid of it I will get another one like it or the model 270
