Review of the Hunter 30_74-83 by Eric Lindstrom

Year built 1978
Location of boat Ithaca, NY
The boat is sailed on Lakes
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2001
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes. I have been incredibly impressed with this boat. Thankfully, the owners before us loved her as much as we do ... making this a true Cherubini classic.
Gear that's been added We're constantaly adding things to the boat (the first owner completely modified EVERYTHING). Constant improvements are a big part of ownership as well as the proper gear to sail her.
Structural or complex improvements The first owner of the boat made the most significant changes to the boat, including: interior layout modifications, water tank replaced by two bags, all lines run aft and full enclosure in the cockpit.
The boat's best features Solid boat. She feels like the real thing (because she is). Very confident and proud to own this unique treasure.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Plumbing is not my strength so I constantly battle an question the systems.
Sailing characterisitcs
Motoring characterisitcs Motored 300+ miles through the NYS Canal System (all details appear on our site www.hunter30.com/logilfe.htm).
Liveability Very comfortable for our entire family. Great layout.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Sandy Hook Yacht Sales in Sea Bright, New Jersey sold us our boat ... I can't say enough nice things about the people there.
