Review of the Hunter 19_93-96 by dan

Year built 1993
Location of boat monroe harbor Chicago ,Il
The boat is sailed on The Great Lakes
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 5-6
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2000
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Absolutly!! It's a great small boat with everything. room for 4 to camp out on the water. stove, storage galore, cooler space and head. did go to a seidelmann 24.5 this year. But. still have the hunter 19 . Planning to take it to florida sailing in the gulf and atlantic after x-mas. Can't wait. Think it will be great too trailor and camp.let you know when i return how it was.
Gear that's been added Install marine horn, bulkhead compass, traveler for the main, a half gallon of jack daniels:)
Structural or complex improvements Installed a bungee to steps to keep the bottle of jack in place while sailing.
The boat's best features Trailorability, center board, extendabbility of trailer, ease of raising and lowering mast.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. ummmmmmmm nothin so far.
Sailing characterisitcs me. just enjoy 15 knott breasees, music playing, sun in my face and jack in my glass.
Motoring characterisitcs have very little in that field.
Liveability Sure, a weekend is the longest i have but i could longer if i had too.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) never delt with them yet.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any n/a
Other comments there a decent boat for the money.
