The boat's best features very good space to length ratio. some people may not like the all fiberglass cabin but i find it brighter and easier to maintain than a full teak cabin. no below water thru hulls which is 1 less thing to worry about.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. i leave my boat in the marina and i have often wondered how the stanless steel balleast plug will hold up without a zinc. i also notice while anchored i can hear the sound of the centerboard shifting with the currents. ive dove under the boaut and placed rubber bushings in the c/b well to try and stop this. i also think that the cabin top should be reinforced near the pop top as i notice a slight bow from stepping onto the top deck. the battery shelf needs to be longer to accomidate the battery storage box.
Sailing characterisitcs this is my first boat but i think it has been good for what style boat this model represents. it does want to head up due to the c/b
Motoring characterisitcs my 8hp honda gets my to hull speed. the 10 hp might be better for more long distance use.
Liveability for a 26 ft it is very good. no you dont get some other luxuries but this is boat is not priced for that mentality.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) n/a
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any n/a
Other comments mabye ive been very fortunate(knock on wood)but so far i have not had any problems with my 94 h26. it has been a very good boat for the money. very little mold problems. i like the simplisity of the tiller and the outboard.it is nice to know i can easily replace boyh without calling a repairman to my boat for the work.
