Location of boat Carlyle, Illinois
The boat is sailed on Lakes
How the boat is used Day sailing
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 1999
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? YES!!!!!! It's my first!
Gear that's been added NO. It had just been restored when we bought it.
Structural or complex improvements No.
The boat's best features Sails beautifuly and the teak interior is classic.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Excellent condition except the hatch is cracked and patched (poorly). The tiller had also been patched. The patch gave out this year and we've just replaced it.
Sailing characterisitcs Our boat holds steady in the strong winds that come up on Lake Carlyle.
Motoring characterisitcs
Liveability Too small to "live" on, but plenty big to sleep on over the weekend out in a cove.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) We were very disappointed to call Hunter to get a copy of the owner's manual only to be told that a fire destroyed everything they had that applied to our boat. Seems amazing that no effort has been taken to locate a manual "somewhere" and reproduce it. Would be glad to purchase one if anyone has an extra available.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any na
