Review of the Hunter 260 by John Castner

The boat's best features Roomy cockpit & cabin  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Running rigging has been a problem, water supply system (poor quality pumps, Poor access to add new wiring for electronics. Sail battens slip out of pockets and are lost overboard. Mooring cleats were significantly undersized & placement allows for Mooring Penants to become unsecured  
Sailing characterisitcs poor visibility from cockpit. Otherwise seaworthy  
Motoring characterisitcs Nothing out of the ordinary  
Liveability nothing out of the ordinary  
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Customer service staff has been very helpful. original dealer went belly up.  
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any dealer experience was a nightmare
