Review of the Hunter 35 by Dale Bailey

Owner bought the boat in 2000  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? yes, however if i could afford an island packet or gozzard  
Gear that's been added auto pilot, battery charger, new depth & knot meter, cockpit table  
Structural or complex improvements replaced engine compartment, removed table from compression post in salon  
The boat's best features room in cockpit, storage room, very large lazarette  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. deck lights leak a little, non-skid is poor on deck  
Sailing characterisitcs sails well, need to reef early  
Motoring characterisitcs motors well at 5 to 6 knots  
Liveability a little cramped for long term
