Location of boat Elizabeth City, NC
The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2000
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes, Very good value for the money
Gear that's been added Added new head, GPS, AC, ordered new canvas
Structural or complex improvements Completely stripped and re-varnished the interior. Bottom pained. Replaced exhaust hose and water hoses.
The boat's best features A lot of room in 31 feet. Easy to sail.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Large fixed windows leaking.
Sailing characterisitcs
Motoring characterisitcs 3-blade prop gives hull speed at 2800 rpm. used 8.9 gallons in 13 hours of motoring. Very economical.
Liveability Plenty of room below. So far have only taken one trip. Three adults were very comfortable.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) I have had no dealings with Hunter.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Bought the boat from an individual. Great guy. Going to take him sailing this summer.
Other comments A lot of boat for the money. Perfect for me and where I sail. Probably will trade up in the future.
