The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Multi-week coastal cruising
Normal wind strength 16-22 knots

Owner bought the boat in 1999
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes, I would buy the Hunter 410 again. It is a great bargain for the size of the boat and the way Hunter equipping them as standard. Pretty much ready to go. I had some minor problems, which Hunter or the dealer took care of. Two bigger and common problems for this model are the rudder blistering and the refrigeration/freezer unit does not work as efficient as it should and as it was advertised. The frigigerator/freezer was under enigneered. We could not make ice and the unit ran almost constantly on a hot summerday, draining our house batteries. I am still working on this with Hunter, who were sofar very helpful, courtious and willing to solve these matters. I think we have come to a conclusion with the refr./freezer, but it still needs to be tested. Anyhow, they stood behind their product, even after the warranty period. Tiderwater Marina in Havre de Grace were also very helpful in all of our complaints.
Gear that's been added Bimini, doger, dingylift, autopilot, AC, furling main, windless, electric winch,misc. small items;
Structural or complex improvements none
The boat's best features roomy interior, large cookpit, easy to handle;
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. freezer/refrigerator, rudder;
Sailing characterisitcs handles well in rough waters, sails still comfortable at 20 to 25 knots of winds;
Motoring characterisitcs sofar so good, you can not beat a Yanmar;
Liveability spacious and comfortable for 4 people.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) good to excellent. Eddy Breeden did an excellent job.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Tony from Tidewater in Havre de Grace sold us the boat and did togehter with the service department a good job. This was my second new boat I purchased from them.
