Location of boat deltaville va
The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2000
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? yes
Gear that's been added autopilot, gps chartplotter, davits
Structural or complex improvements no
The boat's best features lots of boat for the money , terrific dealer
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. companionway step fitting at top -- screws have pulled out of fiberglass, a potential hazard. the autopilot works great but is noisy
Sailing characterisitcs sails very well in light air and goes like a rocket off the wind.
Motoring characterisitcs motors effortlessly at 8 kts. and is surprisingly quiet
Liveability boat has lots of room below. the main stateroom forward is well laid out and the matress is very comfortable. the main saloon is also very spacious except for that stupid bench. we could use 2 more 110 v. outlets a little forward too.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) havent yet
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any norton's yacht sales were a delight to deal with.
Other comments Our last HUnter a 42 passage was never winterized. we sailed her all winter and she kept us very toasty, this boat however has a different reverse cycle unit and is not warm at all we are very dissapointed because we now have to winterize. we are thinking of replacing this soon.
