The boat's best features Large cockpit. Comfortable bunks. Bilge is easy to get to.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Moved breaker box. Too low.
Sailing characterisitcs Handles great. I use a digital speedometer and it really helps keep the speed up as it measures in tenths. Doesn't seem to matter how many are on board it still sails great. My daughter motored out on a 22 foot pontoon boat to visit. We had a heck of a storm which she weathered down below with five people. We towed the pontoon boat home (under sail) with no problems. She was still down below playing cards. Averaged about five knots while towing.
Motoring characterisitcs Motors great, I use a five horse. The hull is only going to go so fast so I see no need for a larger motor. The six gallon tank of gas last so long that I worry about it going bad. It's never been empty but I change it every spring. I don't use the motor much,"I bought my boat to sail." The prevailing wind always brings us home but when its strong I have to motor out of the cove.
Liveability The kids sleep on it all the time, four down below and two on the decks. It's only one hundred feet from the dock to the house so I prefer to sleep in my own bed. I use it for "Dagwood naps" when I am supposed to be doing yard work.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) NA
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any NA
Other comments Wish I had gotten it sooner. So does my wife who thought she wouldn't like sailing.
