The boat's best features
Great family boat! Cabin and cockpit are incredibly roomy for a boat of this length. With the board up you can run right up next to a beach since it only draws about 2 1/2 feet.

Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.

Sailing characterisitcs
It moves along nicely in a light breeze or under motor, which are typical in lake sailing.
Motoring characterisitcs
With both outboard and rudder to aid maneuvering it handles very well.
Liveability
Very comfortable for a night with my wife and two small kids. Once they got older, nights were better spent ashore.

The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
They have been very good. When I needed a new tiller, they directed me to their original supplier even though it was fifteen years old.

It makes a great first boat, but not one that you will feel like you have outgrown in a couple of years.
