Location of boat Ventura, CA
The boat is sailed on Open ocean
How the boat is used Weekends and longer

Owner bought the boat in 2005
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Absolutely, the Hunter 356 is an excellent boat. We are the seconds owners of "HANNAH" previously named "Sybarite" by it's owners Ted and Sue Matthews.
Gear that's been added Raymarine mast-mounted radome and C-80 at-helm chartplotter.
Structural or complex improvements None
The boat's best features Livability. This is easily one of the most comfortable 35-foot boats in the marina. We purchased this boat as our family’s home and it's met or exceeded all our expectations.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Nothing as of yet... Knock on teak.
Sailing characterisitcs Handles well. I've gotten lots of positive comments from others on the Hunter 356's backing ability. Seems agile for a 35-foot boat.
Motoring characterisitcs Motors fine. No complaints.
Liveability Our family of four lives aboard. The forward b-birth was separated into two equal halves with hanging and bookshelf space for both of our pre-teen children. The large queen-sized master stateroom is more than adequate for holding our clothes and other items. Storage under the seats offers even more storage opportunities. The humongous sail locker on the port side of the cockpit holds our inflatable tender and outboard as well our folding bikes. The two large transom storage lockers are more than adequate for other items. There is plenty of space for living aboard without sacrifice.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Never dealt directly with Hunter.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Craig Watkins of H&S Yachts of Channel Islands was the broker on the boat. He offered exceptional customer support and even went through the effort of helping us live temporarily on Channel Islands until a slip opened up for livaboards at Ventura West Marina. H&S’ service department even offered advice on installing a radar and chart plotter months after the purchase of the boat.
Other comments This is our first full-keel sailboat purchase. I have zero regrets. I think the Hunter 356 is a beautiful and exceptional value in monohull sailboats.
